# Referrals

> Share a campaign with your invite link and earn a share of what the people you refer earn

Every Rabbithole account has an invite code. Share a campaign with it, and when someone deposits through your link you earn a share of the rewards they go on to earn in that campaign. Their rewards are not reduced. Your share comes out of the campaign's fee, not their earnings.

## Your Invite Code

Open the profile menu and look for **Invite**. Copy the code, or use **Share on X** in any campaign panel, which posts a link that already carries it.

A referral link points at a specific campaign. The person you refer is attributed to you for that campaign only. Refer them to another campaign and that is a separate attribution.

## How Attribution Works

* **First link wins.** A person can have one referrer per campaign. If they already came in through someone else's link, yours does nothing.
* **It has to happen before they start earning.** The link is recorded when they deposit through it. Someone who already holds a position in the campaign cannot be referred into it afterward.
* **It follows the person, not the deposit.** Once attributed, everything they earn in that campaign for its whole run counts toward your share, including later top-ups.

## What You Earn

Your referral earnings are a percentage of what your referees actually earn in the campaign, so retained deposits are worth more to you than a large deposit that leaves the next day. The percentage is set per campaign by the campaign creator.

Referral pools are fixed per campaign. If referrers collectively earn more than the pool, every referrer's share is scaled down proportionally at the end.

## Referral Earnings

**Referral earnings** in the profile menu lists every campaign where you have referees.

While a campaign is running the amount is an estimate, because both your referees' earnings and the pool split can still move. When the campaign ends and is finalized, the amount locks and a **Claim** button appears. Referral payouts are claimed separately from your own campaign rewards and are paid in the campaign's reward token on its reward chain.

<Note>
  Referral payouts unlock only after a campaign ends. If a campaign you shared is still live, the page shows the estimate and no claim button yet.

## For Protocols and Partners

Protocols can turn referrals on for their own campaign and set the percentage, and partners with an integration can attribute referrals programmatically. See [Referrals](/campaigns/referrals) in the Campaigns section.
